As a mental health professional, I cannot stress enough the importance of self-care.  In today's fast-paced world, we are all under so much pressure to constantly perform, achieve and excel. In the midst of all this, it is easy to neglect the one person who truly needs our attention - ourselves. What is self care: Self-care is all about taking the time to nurture your physical, emotional and mental health. It is about making yourself a priority and giving yourself the love and care you deserve. Self-care can take many forms, it could be as simple as taking a long, relaxing bath, going for a walk in nature, or indulging in your favourite hobby. Why is self care so important: Self Care helps to reduce stress and anxiety, which in turn helps to improve our overall well-being. When we take the time to care for ourselves, we are better equipped to handle life's challenges.
